Hello and thank you for visiting my home page.
I feel very blessed to be beginning my 23rd year of teaching Abbott Panthers, and my 28th year in education overall.

A little bit about me:  I received my Degree in Education from Texas State (aka Southwest Texas State University). I've been married to a farmer as long as I've been teaching and am blessed to have two amazing kids that call me Mom (a fresman at Texas A&M University and a 2nd year grad student at Texas Tech University's Health Science Center). I am looking forward to working with your amazing kids this school year.

I believe it is essential to work with parents to help ensure the best education possible for every child in my class.  Please don't hesitate to reach out with questions or concerns.

My conference period:  1:00 - 1:45

My class schedule, policies, and expectations are attached below.

You can contact me through e-mail at [email protected] or through our Class Dojo messaging system.  My preferred method of communication if you have a child in my class is through Class Dojo, but emails are checked daily as well.  Class Dojo is a free app and this is where you'll find your child's daily conduct report as well as reminders of upcoming events and pictures of happenings in our classroom throughout the year.  Parents will receive an invite to our Class Dojo page before school starts.  If you need it again, please let me know.

If you have a child in my class, and would like to receive email reminders of upcoming tests, projects, and important events, as well as weekly spelling and vocabulary lists (that also come home in folders), please subscribe to *my class page.  To do this, click on 2nd Grade under Classes at the bottom of this page.  This will take you to my class page, where you will click Subscribe.  You will be asked to enter an email address in order to subscribe.
Note:  Even if you don't subscribe to my class page, you can still access it whenever you'd like from the school's website.  Subscribing just ensures that you get email updates to your inbox.

*It is not important that you subscribe to the page you're reading now, as updates aren't posted here.  My class page is the one you need to subscribe to in order to receive email reminders of tests, projects, and other important dates.
