Welcome!!

Hi there!  I am Kara Crawford and I am very excited to be teaching Special Education in Abbott.  I am currently in my 17th year of teaching.
 
I am married to Coach Kyle Crawford and we are parents to two of the the most perfect little boys, Kagen and Kasen.  We also have a lab fur baby, Sadie.
 
I received my Bachelor's degree from Tarleton State University in 2007 with a major in Fitness Management and a minor in Business Administration.  I later received my Master's degree in Guidance and Counseling from Angelo State University in 2013.
 
My conference is from 11:39-12:26 daily.
Tutoring is available during break on Tuesday and Thursday every week!
 
Grading Policy:
Daily Work- 50%
Tests- 50%
*High School students WILL NOT be allowed to correct daily work including class work and homework
*Junior High students WILL be allowed to correct daily work for a grade no higher than a 70
 
Late Work Policy:
One Day Late: 10 points off or 10%
Two Days Late: 20 points off or 20%
Three Days Late: 30 points off or 30%
Four or more Days Late: Grade of 0 will be recorded for the assignment
*Accommodations will be considered regarding number of days late*
 
Any upcoming test or quizzes will be discussed during class with frequent reminders. Retests with the option of a 70 will need to be taken within two days of a test returned to the students after coming by for tutoring during that time.  Any missed work must be turned in within the number of days the student missed.  (Example-If a student missed two days, he/she will have two days to turn that missed work in.)
