Millie Blackwell

About Me:

Hello!  I am Millie Blackwell, and I will be teaching your child in ELAR this year.  I am a graduate of the University of West Florida and Tarleton. I have degrees in Reading, Curriculum and Instruction, Special Education, and Administration.

My husband and I stay busy with our three and five-year-olds.  In my free time, I love movies and remodeling our family farm in Abbott.

Expectations:

Growth mindset will be strongly expected throughout the year.  I want to see their best efforts to enable them to make progress.

I approach our classroom management with positive behavioral strategies.  However, consequences may be assigned with learning as the goal.  Good communication will be our best strategy for good classroom management and your child’s success. Please call or email if you have any questions.

Students are welcome to come in for extra help before school, during break, or after school.  Tests/Quizzes will be posted to the class website, as well as Remind.  Grading and work expectations will be according to the Student Handbook. Make-up work and retests will be scheduled with the teacher.

My conference period is 8:00-8:45 daily.
