After School Care for PreK - 6th
Abbott ISD will provide after school care for PreK through 6th grade students in the cafeteria beginning Feb. 2nd. The cost is $25 per student per week. Care will be provided Monday -Thursday from 3:30 - 5:30 and on Fridays from 2:30 - 4:30. Please review documentation for additional details.
Junior/Senior Prom
Prom will be on Saturday, May 9, 2015. The junior and senior classes are working on the details which includes a catered dinner for those students and their guests who are interested in eating together. Evening ware guidelines will be enforced for AISD juniors and seniors as well as their dates.

Abbott Jr. High Students Win First at UIL
Fifty-one Abbott students competed in the 2014-2015 Junior High (Grades 6-8) District 20-A Zone 1 UIL Academic Meet held at Gholson School. Abbott placed first in competition. Other schools competing in the tournament were: Aquilla, Bynum, and Gholson.
Abbott Elementary Students Win UIL Academic Championship
Forty Abbott students competed in the 2014-2015 Elementary (Grades 2-5) Conference 1A, District 26 Zone 1 UIL Academic Meet held at Bynum School. Abbott placed first in competition and awarded the Zone 1 Championship. Other schools competing in the tournament were: Aquilla and Bynum.

Abbott ISD is accepting transfer applications for students at all grade levels.
Student Council Sponsors Food Drive
The Abbott Student Council would like to thank everyone for their overwhelming support during our annual “Food for Families” food drive campaign. Abbott ISD delivered nonperishable food and cash donations for a total of 5,204 pounds of food to H.I.M., which is Hill county’s food pantry.

Tax Rate
ABBOTT ISD ADOPTED A TAX RATE THAT WILL RAISE MORE TAXES FOR MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS THAN LAST YEAR'S TAX RATE;

THE TAX RATE WILL EFFECTIVELY BE RAISED BY 22.7089 PERCENT AND WILL RAISE TAXES FOR MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS ON A $100,000 HOME BY APPROXIMATELY $40.00.
